The Luerhmen History and Culture Area, Local History Museum was established in 2004. In addition to the reconstructed original Luerhmen Residence, the Culture Area features four display rooms. Luerhmen Tianhou Temple is a popular religious center, which incorporates the rich cultural and scenic attractions of the area and preserves its local traditions.
Luerhmen Tianhou Temple: Dedicated to the Mazu statue brought to Taiwan by Zheng Cheng-gong. This temple has been reconstructed numerous times before its current towering and majestic appearance took form.
Luerhmen Residence: This Southern-Fujian-style building provides a space for religious visitors and cultural exhibits.
Zheng Cheng-gong Heritage Museum: The museum has a rich collection of artifacts from Zheng Chenggong’s time, such as weapons, armor, and books including a map of Taiwan that was made starting in 1703 and completed in 1722.
Sicao Mangrove Forest Reserve: Enjoy the rich wetlands ecology and a green tunnel made of mangroves behind Sicao Dazhong Temple.
Salt Field Ecology Cultural Village: Formerly the Anshun Salt Fields, this was the first salt-manufacturing area in Taiwan during the Japanese occupation era.
